WHAT HAD HAPPEN TO ME

Aarrhh.. I'm making more money now but at the same time, automatically there is a lot of things coming into my mind which I'm aiming to buy. What the hell.. At the end I'll save nothing. Improving life anyway, but is that normal to everyone?

After aiming my camera, now there is something else in my mind,

1. Vacation - jealous when I saw people coming back from their vacation & show their photos.
2. A car - aiming Rav 4, had surveyed and realize that it's not that expensive as I expected but hey,

I'm not driving.

3. Interested with a watch which I'd saw in a magazine. It's guess watch, I know where to buy, it's only a small thing but I know it's damn expensive!

And,
I look forward to buy/have a house.

God! It's a big expenses. Honestly I dislike to become someone who are 'high maintenance' but unfortunately, I have those aims. I'm not young anymore but I left far more behind compare to most of people who same age with me especially my friends. I'm proud of myself in something and I'm disappointed in something too.

Anyway, I have more goals and I'll get what I want for my life.

IRONY OF LIFE

This entry is just for updating my blog. Seems like Hari Raya holiday is not enough for me and guys, I'm still in holiday mood so do everybody & I just wish I still in my hometown at this moment. Get the following fact which is quite true, through my email and just paste it here to share with you my readers. It is just for fun..

Men:
1.
All men are extremely busy.
2.
Although they are so busy, they still have time for women.
3.
Although they have time for women, they don't really care for them.
4.
Although they don't really care for them, they always have one around.
5.
Although they always have one around them, they always try their luck with others.

Women:
1.
The most important thing for a woman is financial security.
2.
Although this is so important, they still go out and buy expensive clothes and stuff.
3.
Although they always buy expensive clothes, they never have something to wear.
4.
Although they never have something to wear, they always dress beautifully.
5.
Although they always dress beautifully, their clothes are always just "an old rag".
6. Although their clothes are always "just an old rag", they still expect you to compliment them.
7.
Although they expect you to compliment them, when you do, they don't believe you.
.
How true on what we read with what we always saw. Somehow, it's not a good idea and example for us to follow.

SELAMAT HARI RAYA

Selamat Hari Raya, segala salah dan silap harap maafkan..
Hehehe.. That's my wishes to everyone.

I'm actually in holiday mood now but we still working today. Somehow, I'm going to go back to my hometown shortly. Whheeeee..... I really miss my family and the cat there. Just wait for my camera, will take more photos in my hometown to share with everyone.

The following photos been taken during our company buka puasa in Le Meridien last week. I like the photos. This is what I want all this while, which a photo been taken by playing around with the lighting.

My favorite photo, thanks isaac.. Lighting is beautiful and just nice..

They said, basar paha!! hehahaha.. I just wanna comment the above photo. The angle is correct but the lighting in not right in this photo, made me far more brighter than the background. I think photo without flash is better sometimes, just have to know how to control the camera speed but still have to depends on the environment lighting la actually.

I also know a bit about photography ba.. :p

Thanks again isaac, do take more of my photos next time.. ekekekek.. I know you will.
Kindly click here to issac's blog. ;)

And, there is two more photographers taken my photo at the same place. Will upload it too once they pass it to me.

NEARLY GET CRAZY

Previously I had short listed which camera I’m going to buy. I had ready and brought my money to the shop yesterday and asked the salesman to show me few preferable cameras. Add more stars to the salesman, he had recommended me a better one which made me feel "wow…~ this is what I’m looking for ~"and when I look at the price, owhh.. I only need to top up a little bit more to get that amount but I really want that camera! I’m nearly lost my brain and take CCM! Gosh.. Luckily my mental is in control otherwise I’m going to loss RM500 for me to take CCM where actually I’ll get my salary in 2 more weeks and I able to buy it without paying interest.

I bet everyone will not believe the above photos taken by only a digital compact camera, yes there might be some photoshop but ladies and gentleman,

It is true!

I’d tested it and the effect is really same like photo above.. I looked for cheaper price in everywhere, unfortunately there is only one shop selling that model.

I’m in love with it and I’m going to buy it in 2 more weeks time!!

At the end, I walked out from the shop only with my dream and I went to MV Doulos, buy some books and took photo there just using our hand phone camera. Poor me.. But it will still memorable..

After getting some seasick, we went to Tg Aru beach after the rain to have some fruits.

heee it's sunset in Tg Aru Beach..

SELAMAT HARI MALAYSIA

A question asking that:

" which date is suit to be call as Merdeka Day or Malaysia National Day, 31 august 1957 or 16 Sept 1963?”

for me of course I’ll say it’s 16 Sept, so meaning to say Malaysia is only 46 years old not 52 years old as mentioned in many advertisement. Why 31 Aug 1957 and why 16 Sept 1963? I'm not going to talk more about that, a Malaysian should know what it means and its history but honestly as for me, I’ll always say I’m proud to be a Sabahan and I never said that I’m proud to be a Malaysian.

Leave that issue at one site, what I know all about, tomorrow is public holiday for Sabah and I’m looking forward to it. What is so excited for me,

it is holiday

&

I’m going to buy my new compact camera tomorrow, wheeee…

Provided I have enough budget coz actually, I haven’t decided which camera I’m going to buy and of course I’m looking for a good one. Hua hua hua.. other than that, there is few things in my mind..

1. Digital compact camera (as mentioned above)

2. Mv doulos (I just want to go although the ship has parked at the harbor for so long time)

3. Landscape (hmmm?)

4. Of course next coming long weekend which is Hari Raya holiday..

The following photos have no related to the above topic, photo taken during friend (Linda & Jasnie)’s wedding dinner.

Happy Malaysia Day..

DO YOU KNOW...

Don’t have much idea to write about here, so I just show the following photos to you as knowledge.

What is this?

It is flowers.

What flower is this?

Fallen flower..

The fruit is famous. Most of people might know its fruit but might never saw these. It is known as the King of fruits - Durian. The above flower is durian’s flower, taken just behind my house in my home town. Some say durian’s flower can be cook and eatable, however it’s not my favorite even the fruit itself.

090909

Today is 09th September 2009. People especially Chinese said 09.09.09 is a beautiful number and it means long lasting. A lot of people might register their marriage or engagement today including one of my cousin and one of my friend. Congratulation to them.. And then, tomorrow there will be news for today’s event. Me, nothing will be special for today other than I realize that my skin is peeling from the sunburn & I get an invitation for a Majlis Berbuka Puasa by our company on this coming Friday. It might be yummy..

^_^

And, I actually nervous for today coz he is asking about our marriage registration too this morning. He requested for this coming December but I don’t think I’ll agree for December, it’s too soon & I’m not ready. Actually married or not, I will feel the same. I do everything for him and assume he is the only of my special 1 even though we haven’t had any commitment. It’s sweet & I hope it will be everlasting too.

Anyway, yeah we are working hard for it and happy 090909 day to all of you.

MY CHOICES

Some people might saw me as someone who is cincai. Yes sometimes I do things shortcut and cincai, but sometimes I’m quite high expectation. I’m saying that way coz I’d short listed the camera that I’ll buy soon which will be Nikon, Canon or Olympus and my short listed choices are damn expensive. Probability will be canon as the photo below. Hee..

Canon IXUS 1100

Canon IXUS 990

Canon Powershot SX200IS

* But I’m still looking and survey for Nikon.

I actually only looking for a compact digital camera and for me the priority is quality and satisfaction. People told me, I can buy big lens camera compare with the high price of compact digital camera that I’d chose. Yes big lens type is good camera & everyone will satisfy with the photo but I just want a compact one which I can put in my hand bag and bring to anywhere easily and not heavy. Ladies will have a lot of things to carry and just imagine if I’m pulling my luggage on my vacation here and there, and another big heavy camera hanging on my neck. Oh no no noo... Else, my vacation is by road than it will be suit for me to bring such a big and heavy camera. But at the same time, I don't want people think that photo taken by a digital compact camera is low quality that's y those below RM700 is out of my list.

Anyway, thanks guys for your opinion..

And yes, I’ll buy and am targeting a big lens camera too but wait...

MY GREAT WEEKEND

I know I suppose to talk about future, but I still will write about the past for my sweet memory. This is my last weekend and I have a great weekend. What had happened was:
.
1. I was happy with me work all along the week although it was quite boring.
.
2. Meeting new friends, jonay’s close friends a happy couple Joseph & Chang.
.
3. Get my budget to buy a camera, yippee.. ^_^ although it was not full payment but I really thankful. I’d survey in Karamunsing & Center Point, had targeted few but haven’t bought it.
.
4. Watched a movie Final Destination, for me the movie is just ok but actually I hate it too cruel.
.
5. Had a bbq session in a creepy place with few nice people, nice food & nice gathering at the beginning but sad that no photo taken but at the end,
.
6. A person who sit next to me & close to me saw something everywhere which every one of us there saw nothing! What the hell.. I'd tried not to feel scare coz I unable to see it unless if there’s other person scare of it then I’ll panic. Time was 12.20am.
.
And below is our photo during Linda & Jasnie wedding last 2 weeks..

INVENTOR OF PEN DRIVE IS A MALAYSIAN

Oooo… I kust knew it.. Poor me..

I think every computer user know and using USB removable disk or normally people called it as pen drive but do you know who is the first inventor or founder of pen drive? They are a group of 5 people which consist of 2 Malaysian and 3 Taiwanese! And today, the whole world is using this USB removable disk and made those Malaysian to become millionaire outside Malaysia. Oh I’m proud for those Malaysian. Following is the story copied from my email to share with you my readers.

Name: Pua Khein Seng

Hometown: Sekinchan, Selangor

Education: SJKC Yeok Kuan, Sekinchan; Pin Hwa Independent school, Klang; Chiao Tung University, Taiwan

Occupation: Engineer/ president of Phison Electonics Corp

Current base: Taipei, Taiwan

When he set off for Taiwan in 1993, Pua Khein Seng's only aim was to complete his degree in Electrical Control Engineering at the renowned Chiao Tung University and return home to work in Malaysia.

Never did he envision himself heading a multi-million dollar Taiwanese company that developed the world's first USB flash removable disk, which they called Pen Drive.
Pua Khein Seng went to Taiwan to get his engineering degree but ended up staying on, starting his own company and inventing the pen drive.

"I went to Taiwan to pursue my undergraduate degree. I chose Taiwan only because it was too expensive to study either in the United States or Singapore.

"However, I did well in my undergraduate programme and was offered a place to do my masters," explained Pua, who was back in Kuala Lumpur recently for a holiday.
After completing his Masters in July 1999, Pua worked for about six months in a local company before deciding to set up his own venture company with four fellow engineers who had studied with him at Chiao Tung.

"We were confident that we had the know-how and ability to start our own business, which is focused on USB technology. The company is called Phison because there are five of us - two Malaysians and three Taiwanese engineers," said Pua, 31, who hails from Sekinchan, Selangor.
Phison Electronics Corporation was set up in November 2000 and within six months the young entrepreneurs came up with their first invention - a USB storage device called Pen Drive.

"We were the first company in the world to develop the USB Drive SoC (System On Chip) and we were very confident that the market for USB will be huge. At the time, no one believed in us so we had to do everything ourselves - from developing the technology, the chips to the product itself.

"We were only 27 at the time and inexperienced. But we were confident that we could design good systems and chips but we didn't know anything about selling. So, we sought partners or traders who could help sell our products for us," Pua added.

Through smart partnerships and shrewd strategies, Phison soon made its way into European, American and Japanese markets. One quick move was securing Japanese tech giant Toshiba as Phison's largest shareholder and customer.

"We launched Pen Drive in June 2001 and by August the same year, we broke the event! From September 2001, we were reaping monthly profits from our invention and there has been no turning back since."

Having established himself in Taiwan, Pua has setting up Phison's branch in Malaysia since last February.
"I am starting a branch in Malaysia because this is my country. I would like to do contribute to its development.”

"We have about 100 engineers at Phison in Taiwan, 20 of them are Malaysians. Although they studied in Taiwan, I had to re-train all the engineers I hire because, like most fresh graduates (in this field), they
are not industry-ready upon graduation.

"Unfortunately, some of the Malaysian engineers want to return home after a couple of years because they are homesick, about to start a family and so on. Some prefer to work in Singapore, as it is closer to home. Instead of losing them to competitors, I decided to set up an office in Malaysia
where they can still work for me," said Pua.

Another problem faced by returning computer engineers from Taiwan, Pua added, was the lack of job opportunities for hardware engineers in Malaysia.

"There is no environment or support for design engineers here in Malaysia.
One of my Malaysian engineers from Phison returned home and ended up as a teacher in a Chinese school! I was shocked and thought, 'After all that training and re-training, he is going to just teach?' I told him to hold on till I open up the Phison branch in Malaysia."

Though he has been in Taiwan for the past 12 years and married to a Taiwanese, Pua is not sure how much longer he will remain there. "I have really no idea where I will be in 20 years. Maybe Taiwan, maybe Malaysia, maybe somewhere else ... it all depends on my business. The industry is moving so fast that I cannot predict what or where I will be," he said.

For the moment though, Taiwan is home for Pua, his wife and two children even though he misses the Malaysian way of life.

"I come home once a year for Chinese New Year and will usually stay for about two weeks. There are several things I really miss about Malaysia. One is the food! For the past 12 years I have been craving for Malaysian food ... I miss laksa, curry noodles, chee cheong fun and all the other delicious dishes we have here.“

"I also miss the lifestyle and quality of life here. When I come back, I am always amazed to see people hanging out and relaxing at mamak shops at night. In Taiwan, most people would still be at work at that time of the night!

"Before I got married, I used to work for 15 to 17 hours a day, everyday. Now that I have children, my wife has forbidden me to stay so late. Now, I go to work at 9am and come home by 11pm. These hours are quite normal for the Taiwanese."

The man who invented USB pen-drive is a young modest Malaysian who can’t even get into a local University but invented the most versatile, indispensable computer peripheral today. And helped his adopted country, Taiwan made $31bil in the process. The rest is history....

AND NOW..

There is a story about last night.

It’s 11.30pm. I’d taken my dinner, taken my bath, taken my rest and it’s time to sleep. Unfortunately, I can’t sleep due to the noise coming from outside of the room. Yeah it’s ghost season for Chinese people but hey, I’m not talking about those things here k. Those noise is came from people inside the house. What had happen was, my 10 years old niece still doing her homework and haven’t finish it even time was almost 12am and my sis and my brother in law was scolding her til she was crying. Poor niece.

What I can see here is, that’s city kid’s life. Study, study and study. Pity niece but I can’t do anything but as for me, we cannot push the kids to study too much. I’ve ever study before too and I know how the feeling to be push. It’s the parent’s (my sis & brother in law) choice to put the kids(my niece) in a school which is very high expectation and a lot of homework, then the parents should not blame everything on the kids not doing their task.

Honestly, we as a human has the limit in doing something especially study and same as working. Even we as an adult have the limit to do our work and at the end we need rest and relaxing at least once or twice a week. Isn’t it? Everyone of us has the limit only three hours per day to absorb anything we read, that’s true. Else, are overload and it will not be absorbed into our brain.

Anywhere, I can’t do anything other than just support my niece under the same kind of study environment, and can’t comment anything to my sis even though I think for my niece coz every people has different way to look after their kids.

HAPPY MERDEKA DAY

Went to kudat on last weekend for 3 days. Great long weekend, and very relaxing. Not much photo for the vacation coz I’ve no camera. >_<

But there is someone promised to buy a camera for me soon which is this weekend.

Yiippeee..

Of course it will not be a very good camera with good quality of photos taken but I’ll be happy & appreciate it.

Back to the previous story, went to Kudat last Saturday and I saw this when we stop by for while on the road side near the junction to Kota Marudu & Kudat from KK.

Saw what’s the special? Everything and every pack of the food have been hanged from the ceiling and not on the rack. Quite a creative way.

Sunday is just a relaxing day, sitting on the football field to watch and become supporter for a kampung football team. What I get from there is just SUNBURN. Luckily the team has won.

Monday is the main point of my vacation to Kudat, actually it’s not really a vacation. It’s just that go out from the city, experiencing a different life and have a relaxing rest. What had happen on this day is the ceremony of signing a project in the afternoon and I’ve attending a course before the ceremony. Yeah it’s not me the one who signing the contract but I was there for supporting someone named Jonay. ;)

Jonay is the one with red hat.

That’s it for my happy and relaxing weekend and I’d return to KK.
