HAPPY ^_^ CNY

Today is 7th day of Chinese New Year, it's the day to do Lau Sheng..

It's combination of 7 dishes and I'm still looking more info about this dish actually.

I started working since yesterday somehow, going back to hometown again today for the weekend and continue my CNY. Overally, to be honest I'm bored for this year's CNY. Yeah something wrong to me but I'll only tell you what's wrong when it's right time. Although my holiday was fun, but I only 30% enjoy and happy, the rest are bored, sad, worry, tired, blur and not focus.

After came back from holiday, same question came to me:

"How much Ang Pao did you get?"

.

Well, I'll only answer,

"Not much because I only stay at home and didn't go anywhere to meet people."

So?

Ladies and gentlemen, Ang Pao is not how much amount inside all about. As I said in my previous post, people given you ang pao is actually a blessing and wishing you to have a good year and good health. We should not expect people give more, it depends on capability and honesty. Be thankful whatever people gave. When we receive Ang Pao, do remember that we have to return after we get marry. They'd given you big amount then you have to return big amount to their kids too later. Fun? That is one of the Chinese culture so don't be too happy. And yes, I'm actually getting worry coz more and more kids around me now.

Ever heard that people said, when you spend more money to other people, money will non-stop came in back to you? I do believe that. Spend your money to others is something like indirect charity. Of course have to depens on our capability. And yeah I've ever said, my money is not only for me alone. I share what I have to someone else who really need it. I do. ;)

SOME LEGEND - CNY

Long time ago, there was this legend.

There is a monster/ beast called Nian that lives under the sea or in the mountain. It came out to attack people especially children every spring season or during Chinese New Year. Nian is sensitive and afraid of noises and red color. That is why color of RED is everywhere during the Chinese New Year, Lion dance with noisy drum rhythm, red flower crackers which would scare off the Nian monster. Nian has not appeared in front of human again after a Chinese village had chased away Nian with firecrackers, red color & noise.

Believed that Nian still living in the jungle and mountain, because of worried for it appear again, Chinese people celebrate Chinese New Year with red, lion dance, tang lung, red ang pao, red firecrackers, fireworks ect. Here come Chinese New Year celebration with lots of tradition.

Legend for ang pao

Long time ago, coin had been tighten with red string and been put in an envelope. Chinese people would place the envelope next to their pillow and they believe that the envelope will bring good luck and protect them from sickness. When people given you ang pao, it actually means that people wishing you to have a good health.

Pig

Those animals are real except dragon but dragon always symbolic of power and strength.

Legend for Dragon

Dragon does not exist but ancient Chinese people has designed a combination of 5 animals to become a dragon features.

Ox as its head and ears;

Snake as its body;

Eagle as its leg;

Deer as its beautiful horn and,

Fish as its scale.

Add little bit of moustache and fin. Normally people colored dragon as green color, some are red and some are gold depends on the picture’s usage.

How true was the above legend nobody knows somehow I’ll check out more and will share more with you guys in coming posting. ;)

Valentine day is not the only day to appreciate & be with your love one anywhere.

This year's valentine day, is the same day with Chinese New Year.

I'm more excited for the New Year.

Favorite valentine gift that I'd ever received was fresh flower.

It's past few years by my ex-boyfriend and I do aware that, fresh flower selling on valentine days is the most fucking expensive.
It's simple, very common and outdated idea but ladies always loves beautiful things. ;)

and it shows thousand of word.

Another most memorable gifts I'd ever received was last year,

only a simple vacation to Kudat.

I love it when I can just spending time with my love one.

I know I'm no longer to celebrate valentine.

Well valentine normally only for young couple.
I'm not excited for it anymore anyway.

I love and happy with what I have now,
as long as I can be with my love one

and I can be with my family at the same time.

Somehow,
it's good to give present to your love one sometimes,

no matter what day.

Everyone love gifts.
It's lying when people said 'don't need to buy present for me'.

.Doesn't mean to buy an expensive thing.

A thing that his/her favorite and meaningful sincere from heart is enough.

Honestly I do love and prefer vacation as a gift.

A simple, cheap and local vacation is good enough.

As long as can relaxing and spending time with love one.

but sorry to say that I have no budget at the moment.

Simple 3 words, not easy to speak out.

Forget other things and spend time with love one whenever we can.
