APC

I was away for 2 days conference in Sutera Habour.

My boss registered my name for the conference and instructed me to attend it. I was feeling like not interested to attend it in the first place but I was shocked and changed my mind when I saw the fee was RM1,150 per person. Somehow, thanks a million to my boss. I know not everyone have the opportunity like me, who want to pay RM1,150 freely for you to attend a course huh? Knowledge goes to me not the payer. I'm very lucky, I've just worked here for few months, I'd been sent to a good conference while others attent it for the 1st time after they'd worked here for 5 years.

Back to normal today, the only thing that I remember from there is only the food and Micheal Jackson performance.

Just kidding. Honestly I've learned a lot of things in that 2 days conference. MJ performance is only 1 small part but what to do, that is the thing that most sticked in my mind till now. Of course I don't remember everything been taught that is why we have been given notes and I took my own notes too. Will share some meaningful statements here which I think very good but I'm not going to elaborate more here. U might feel like some of it are not related but if you want to know more then u can attent the conference next year. ;)

Our 1st speaker was Dr. Edwin Varo. Who is Dr. Edwin Varo?

He has the title Dr., someone who has 2 basic degree, 2 MBA, 1 PHD and ever worked in 6 different countries. He has a son who studying psychology at the moment. Having his own business at the moment and he is a great speaker.

Well I just love a speaker / tutor / lecturer who always tell and share their pass experience. It would be more interesting speak that way and here are some of the interesting (for me) point.

- Love and kiss urself every morning. U can't love others if u don't love urself.

- Life is not about how we start, it's all about how it finish.

- There are 8 different types of intelligence. Having lot of A's in school exam is only 1 or 2 of the type of intelligence.

- Forgive people, forget the pass.

- Bring Joy to others.

- Don't compete, be realistic. Today's people are more materialistic and it's unhealthy.

- Who is the best negotiators in the world? Answer: Children.

- There is someone who celebrated and having Failure Night Dinner.

- Never say 'I don't have enough time'. Manage activity within the times given.

- Ray Kroc is the person who start Mc Donald.

- Chairwoman and CEO of Pepsi is Inda Nooyi.

- Good or bad, the starter is ourselves.

- Knowledge is for everyone. Who never share their knowledge to others goes no way.

- Never met supplier alone unless if u are the boss.

- France people can have their lunch for 4 hours. Even food they'd romance.

- Avoid plastic plant near 2 u, live plant is the best.

- Eagle can live up to 70 years but it has trouble in his life when its age reach 40 due to heavy thick feather and its mouth getting more bent down make it hard to hunt food.

- In reality, organization does not care about us. The only person responsible for our career is ourselve.

Our 2nd speaker was Ching Lee Hwa but I didn't manage to take her photo. Her point:

- What is the last time u walk with ur barefoot on the grass?

- 8 hours for family, 8 hours for work and 8 hour for health.

- Your development determine the future.

- Some1 sitting under the shade today is because some1 planted the tree long time ago.

- 7% is verbal communication, 93% is non verbal communication. From the 93%, 38% is from vocal tones and 55% is through facial expression.

- Different people has different type of character. Study people from their character and work follow their style. I'm a supine person, my boss is melancholy person and my bf is choleric person. ;)

- Good food, sleep, quality time & exercise.

The most surprising session was our lunch and tea break. Well it's Sutera Habour and the food was always nice but the waiter & waitress's service was really2 slow & unprofessional. Sorry to say that but it's true. What had happened was the food was late for most of the time, we were standing almost 5 minutes just waiting for them to refill the food and drink while our tea break was only 15 minutes including toilet break. I didn't mind about the food but at least the hot drink, the ballroom was really cold for me indeed.

Except the 2nd day's lunch, it was special & even has dance performance, lucky draw and fashion show. Wow what a seminar but anyway, the fashion show was just an advertisement. They just grabbed the opportunity to do marketing & their target was just working women. Well yeah the Micheal Jackson Sabah's performance was incredible for me that is why it still sticked in my mind. I believe so do the other attendees.

OK back to the class..

The last speaker was Hjh. Rosmawati Hj. Lasuki from YS Group. She only given a short but very inspiring talk, more on her own life and experience. Nothing else I think about her when I saw her name as 1 of the speaker. I just remembered that, I always called her office to catch her and her PA like hell when I worked with my x-company. And yesterday, I'd just sit and hear she talked.

"It's not because of I'm a speaker,

but I just want to share my journey.

I hope others can follow my footpath,

or do better than me."

Overally, I'm happy with the conference. I've learned lot of things indirectly and from this conference, I saw my own big weaknesses. I just don't like to be social with people I don't know. What I mean is there are over 100 people who attended the conference, and I'd only manage to get to know little of new people. I don't know why I'm not friendly enough, I'm not interested and I admit I really new in my current profession. I'm not use to a lot of things yet and I'm still under learning process. I'm not sure how far will I go but I'm looking forward for another free workshop/seminar/conference/course. ;)

I still remember, when I started this blog, I just felt like to publish this blog but not for people to read. Weird but it's true. I didn't have much confident, I don't want to be popular *cough*, I don't want attention, I was worry of strangers, I was not so confident & strong with what I wrote but after 1 year which is today, then I realize that it's nothing much and nothing to worry actually as long as I didn't touch something sensitive and publish too much detail. This is my personal blog afterall, I'm trying to write about my own life (but I know some post still not regarding my own life), I don't have much readers yet and I'm comfirtable with it.

Just a short brief, why I started this blog with 'Enjoyable Life'. Just a simple answer from me, I just want to have a place for me to write down anything in my mind, record anything memorable thing and put my comment / opinion on anything around me. I'm someone who really think a lot when I saw and experienced something. Really really think a lot but doesn't mean I'm a good decision maker.

There are always up and down in everyone's life. Sometimes it's just make us exhausted but no matter how, I still enjoy my life with every problem, that is how the way I make myself happy. Odd but yeah I enjoy problems cause no matter how big our problem is, life still must go on and, if we open our eyes widely to look outside, there might be more people out there have much more bigger problems than us. Absolutely. I have nothing, I'm not rich of money but I'm happy, I know I'm always lucky and I believe that I'm rich of friends, love and family loves.

1 year achievement:

Added more blogger friends on my blog list. It's fun and interesting for me to read other people's blog. Other than that, I don't think I'd improved anything in my blog. It's just the same layout with last year, just the color is different. I didn't decorate anything, I have no laptop for me to have so much time to do creative photoshop. Honestly most of my posting had been made from my office and I believe that (this is my own opinion) simple layout is the best and easy to read. As I said, I don't want to be popular anyway.

Friend's Engagement

And today, attended a friend's engagement. Congrats Beryl & Mr. Dusinol. I'd tried my hard to attend it, I'd told myself to be more supportive and I will try my best to attend any function been invited. I take my father's advice, he just told me that: If u invite people on ur wedding, make sure u attend when they invite u back. It's not adat nor wanting an image but it is a respect.

Woh.. I'm not married yet but for sure I'll try my best to attend every invitation, it's a respect. So I'd canceled my plan to Kudat today, went out early morning from home and take a bus from home to KK and change another bus to Donggongon. This is what I saw in the bus..

Met another friend Hendry today. The last I' heard about him was, he was sick and stayed in his kampung for treatment. Glad that saw him today and he is in good condition, I mean in good health with a fatter body. No matter what, today is a happy saturday. ^_^ Hope you have one too..

CHIKEN POX

Other than blogging, I love to read other people's blog too. As every blogger / people has experienced different journey of life, it's interesting for me to read & know more about them especially those who has ever leave in different country & experienced different culture. Some of them even used very good words and good humor to keep their blog interesting, well I have to learn and try my best on that.

The purpose of this entry of mine is just to share a story of mine which I feel funny when I remember about it, just related to this post from Lizee's blog. It's regarding Chicken Pox. :)

.

It was 10 years ago. (Oh man.. I don't realize this was 10 years ago!) It was just 2 weeks before my 4th sister's wedding day. Ok before that, just for ur info I have 4 elder sisters and only 1 elder brother. Yeah I'm the youngest and for ur info again, the 'nieces' that I'm going to mention here will be my 3rd sister's child.

.

Back to the story. It was 2 weeks to my 4th sister's wedding day. My elder niece came back home from school and we get to know that she'd got chiken pox from her classmate! hmm ok..

.

1 more week to my 4th sister's wedding day, the elder niece passed the pox to her younger sister and her mum (my 3rd sister) too! I still remember my 4th sister was laughing and teased them that they couldn't dressed and make up beautifully during her big day.

.

2 days before my 4th sister's wedding, WTF me and my 4th sister started to get some cute pox! LOL. I was ok but my 4th sister had knocked down 1 whole day before her wedding day because of high fever. LOL.. I still remembered that I was the one who helped her sweep some cream on her pox & she did the same to me. More and more relatives arrived our home but both of me and my 4th sister been isolated and we slept together since no one was braved enough to stay nearer to us. And she had a unique wedding day which was a chiken pox bride on her big day and my elder niece had the most beautiful skin at that day due to her chiken pox was fully recovered. Child skin are cure easily.

Sweet memory when I recall that every moment. Everyone has the chance to get chiken pox but both of us just get it on a "right time". Some people even said that my 4th sister will have no 1st night on her 1st day wedding coz of her husband might don't want to get chiken pox too. LOL.. Sorry for no photo of that here coz having chiken pox is not beautiful anyway but my sis was still beautiful on her wedding day.

Me and my 4th sister ended that chiken pox season without passed it over to other people eventhough we met and spend time with so much people during her wedding.

WHERE IS MY GIFT?

I just want to share this and give some of my own opinion.

Last weekend, I went back to my hometown and I'd been asked by one of my niece:

Niece: "Aunt, where is my birthday gift?"

.

Me: oppss.. I actually remembered his birthday but I didn't buy anything for him this time. Cover malu, "I err.. Hutang dulu. I'll give you on my next trip coming back."

.

Niece: "Why u forgoten this time? U always remember my birthday every year."

.

Me: "... ..."

.

Oh my.. I feel sorry with what he said and feel. I never forget, I remember it every year, it just I didn't spend time to look for a gift this time. And he continued:

.

"Aunt, u buy PSP for me as a birthday gift."

.

What?!! Wow you see today's kids. They are more update on the technology and here's my view:

.

I actually regret to teach and influenced my nieces to the technology in their early age. Since I was studied in IT field last time, I thought technology is good. I'd taught my family and encouraged them to buy a computer at home. The conclusion for today is, they can't live without a computer. The usage of the computer for them is only for playing game and online, that's it but they can't leave without it. Adult can understand that starring at computer too long is not good for eyes sight and health but child never listen and never bother about that.

.

Now most of my niece requested their mum (my sis) buy a laptop for each of them and they'd requested a very powerful one tho. Do you think they use it for homework? No.. For homework only a small part and most of the time they play game and surfing internet. They requested a powerful one for them to install and run powerful 3D games. Now they know and surfing the internet themselve. But without any guide, no one knows what are they seaching and surfing! Doesn't that really worrying? They are not my child but I'm really worry. There are too many untrue things and people on the net, even me myself sometimes doesn't talk honest on the net. What for to talk honest to a stranger without seeing their face?

.

There is more technology now adays but less communication. Everyone communicate via the technology but seldom meet face to face, even some people are more prefer to sit inside their house watching the screen (TV and computer) rather than go out talking to their neighbours. Yeah there are some people who don't know and don't bother whose their neighbours are, that's today's life style.

.

And for me, keep in touch with our family via the technology is not enough. Just ask our parents, I'm sure they will be more prefer and happier if we can go back home to visit them instead of only call them through 3G or webcam. Of course some people might said that technology is the cheapest and easy way to communicate but for me, I prefer save my money for the fare to go back home. Yes I do include the fare in my monthly budget & expenses. It's our parents and family what, no harm to spend more for them. So do with our friends, it's better meeting face to face rather than just forwarding email, sms and greet on the facebook.

Technology has the advantages for development but reallity, TV and computer are unhealthy and made people more lazier especially for small kids. Even online shopping can make us lazy but sadly we can't avoid, even in primary school have a computer class.

.

I walked around the mall, looking for a gift for my niece but I get none. It's not because nothing sell in the mall but I've no idea and don't know what to give as you can see today's kids are not into sport, they are not into reading, they are not into activity, they are more to technology even read articles, play soccer, fishing, chess, ping pong, puzzle, farming, barbie doll game is all in the computer. It's more easier, not boring and doesn't need any moves..It's not healthy anyway and I'm still searching for a suitable gift. No I will not choose for a game or technology thingy for them.

Cool war game is in the computer and today's kids are so good at it but what happened when the teenagers been sent to Khidmat Negara camp?

It's spring Season in Sabah! Wheee.. ^_^

Ok it's not spring season, it's just the season of tabebuia. Some people call it 'sakura' but actually this tree is call tabebuia tree.

This tree had been planted at most of the places in Kota Kinabalu and now it's the season for it to bloom. Yes the whole tree and the whole street of the tabebuia tree are blooming and my bf told me that he felt that he was in Korea. o_O

I DON'T KNOW

Just a lesson I'd learned..

When I entered my 1st company (my 1st job), on the 1st day the boss called me into his room and brief me some rules in the company. Until today I still really remember something very good that he had told me,

.

"Whatever people asked u, never answer people I DON'T KNOW because it will end there and things will never settle."

.

Since then I really take note on that and I've thinked more than twice everytime I didn't know about something but avoid to give people that answer. Of course don't simply give a wrong answer, don't say you know if you don't know, the best and safe answer is "I'll double check" or "I'll find out". Indirectly, it pushed us to know and find out more things which is good for us.

.

To be frank my readers, don't you feel unsatisfied and a bit annoying everytime people answer you they don't know?

.

Honestly yes I am.

.

Statistic saying that the most annoying answer in the world is "whatever..", and for me, I repeat for me personaly, I don't like people just simply answer "I don't know", unless it is a thing that he/she really has no idea.

.

Why I'm saying that way coz I'd met some people who are just lazy to find the real answer, lazy to co-operate and they just simply answer they don't know before try to find out the thing. Luckily I'm only someone who very small here. If I'm a boss, I'll definetly not allow my staff answer me 'I don't know' just like my x-boss do and yes, I'm not going to encourage my future kids use that word as an answer too.

SPOILED MY DAY

Something and some people has spoiled my day today. I really unhappy but till now I didn't scold anyone coz I'm respect them. Just express it here coz I don't think I've done anything wrong.

Thing is like this..

Yesterday evening, our office received a notice from the management telling that electricity power will be shut down from 6am til 10am for some maintainance purposes. I get the notice from a collegue, then I'd sticked it on the notice board.

.

This morning, I still came early. When I reached office, there are two (2) staffs sat inside reading news paper in the dark. Once my foot steped in, they'd asking why I didn't tell them about the power supply will be off. They'd said that if they knew it they'll come bit late since other staffs whose knew it came late too. I'd told that the notice was on the notice board, they still blaimed me didn't inform them. This made me hot.

.

WTF. One of the guy staff, ok I understand his wife admitted in the hospital now and he is taking care 4 of his children. May god bless his wife and I understand that he just wish that it's better if he can spend one more hour with his children. But another one, I just can comment "gosh.." If people cooked meal for you, you still want people feed it into your mouth? I was pretending cool but actually hot and nearly asked them to just throw the notice board into the South China Sea.

What for we put a notice board if never want to use it in a right way? Who suggested to buy and stick the notice board on the wall in the first place? Tell me what's the purpose of notice board. I'D STICK THE NOTICE ON THE NOTICE BOARD BUT THEY STILL BLAIMED ME DIDN'T INFORM THEM! KEEP ON OFFENDED WHEN TALKING TO OTHER STAFFs! Wow..

Another thing is, we'd signed our appointment letter and WORKING HOUR is 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday while 9am - 1pm on Saturday. It's our responsibility to be in the office DURING that office hour, aren't we? Eventhough you know there will be no power supply til 10am, we still MUST be in the office during the working hour, at least stand by to answer phone call. I knew about the notice but I still came 9am what. Jeezzz.. Others came late is their own business lah. What for you want to follow?

Yes I'm unhappy but I just keep quite didn't say anything, pretending I've done wrong coz I respect them. As I've ever said before, most of my collegues are veterant. But if anyone of my collegue check out and read this, I just want to advise that please hit and throw the notice board for me. The notice board is useless. Thank you.

BLOCKING

I'm exhausted with some public people. Sorry to say but I don't understand lot of people and things. Today's life, seems like everyone is more and more shellfish. I admit I'm shellfish too sometimes to protect myself but I still have the little heart and think about others. This is very simple, logic and common sense.

.

1. When we want to enter lift, bus, train or where ever, aren't we suppose to wait and let people come out 1st then only we have space to go inside? I don't understand why some people just rush to go into the lift or bus before other people come out. It blocked and stucked others inside unable to come out.

.

2. Some people came out from the bus, lift or any room, they just think that as long as their foot is outside the door then they'd done their mission. Hey, can't you look behind if there's other people want to go out too? Standing in front of the door is really blocking k.

.

3. Some people paying bill on the counter. They paid and get the balance and then arrange their documents, money, purse or anything in front of the counter and it takes at least 10 second to done it. Yeah there is no wrong to arrange your thing but can you arrange at the side of the counter?

.

4. There is no sign on any esculator in Sabah but we suppose to stand on the left side of the esculator, left some space to let other people pass by on the right hand side, not occupying the whole esculator. Every people who ever stay in KL knew that and I think it's a good practice.

.

5. People knew this but they still making the same mistake. I'm not driving but I saw that some drivers still love to drive on the fast lane eventhough they are driving slow and let other cars passed by on the left lane.

.

6. Buses in the city just love to stop anywhere at the road side eventhough there's no bus stop. Don't understand some of the passanger just so lazy to walk a bit farer and they love to keep on pressing the button inside the bus so that the bus can stop at the road side. U might not believe but it's true a public bus can stop more than 10 times all along the roadside just 1km distance. Car followed at the back of this bus must be very patient.

.

It's not a good practice. We can know the level of minded for those people from the above action. I might put my brain on my knee but I don't know where's those people put their brain on. It's common sense and suppose to think for the logic not to block other people.

KAMPUNG LIFE

I am who I am. Some one came from kampung yet proud of myself and my background. Offended few people this recently. I am who I am, sturborn enough and strong standpoint. I know lot of people don't believe and will say I'm someone boring and talking non-sense but I believe in myself. I'm planning my life & I know I will be better than others. Just intented to advice others coz i'm concern but people think differently.

Oh it's April. Didn't post something for quite some time. Know why? I was busy read other people's blog. ^_^ Yes, read before write. When I found an interesting blog, I will read from their 1st post (some of them even start from 2006) til the latest post. wow it takes very long time but I still read and never miss every single post especially those I'd follow, linked and listed under my blog list. ;)

Well I'm a ladies.. u know.. sometimes just love to busy body with other people life. LOL. No lah actually every people has their successfullness in their life. No body is perfect but everyone has at least 1 speciality. Me, just visit their blog, get some idea, inspire them, combine it and imagine it on myself. LOL. I'm a day dreamer.
